The barn
Caleb's grandfather hung burley on this road in 1924. We left the rails up, swept the floor, and since 2011 more than 650 couples have danced under them.
Poplar siding, tier poles forty feet up and a dry-stone fence older than the barn. We added a floor, air conditioning, heat and good light, and changed nothing you can see.

One farm, five rooms to use.
Everything here is yours from 10am to 11pm: the barn, the lawn, both suites and the porch. If it rains, the ceremony comes inside and we turn the barn during cocktail hour.
250 seated, 300 standing. Air-conditioned and heated.

“We toured eleven venues. This was the only one where we stood under the rails and stopped talking. It rained, and nobody noticed.”
Brianna, Hamburg
“Our families brought the bourbon, the bar team poured it, and the sparkler send-off down the lane is the photo on our wall.”
Marcus and Jo, Chevy Chase
“We had 240 guests and it never felt crowded. Air conditioning in a barn in August is a small miracle.”
Lauren, Georgetown

Can we bring our own caterer?
Yes. Choose from our list of six Lexington caterers who know the barn kitchen, or bring your own licensed and insured caterer for a $750 kitchen fee.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes, Kentucky bourbon very much included. Our licensed bartenders pour it, at $40 an hour each, one for every 75 guests.
What happens if it rains?
The ceremony moves inside the barn, and we turn the room over for dinner during cocktail hour. We decide together at noon on the day.
Is the barn air-conditioned?
Yes, and heated. We put both in when we restored it, so August and December weddings are comfortable.
Where do our guests stay?
The 1890s farmhouse on the hill sleeps ten, from $650 a night. Downtown Lexington hotels are about fifteen minutes away.
How do we hold a date?
Come for a tour, and we hold your date for five days, free. A $2,500 deposit secures it; most couples book 12 to 18 months ahead.
Come walk the farm.
Private tours Tuesday to Saturday, about 45 minutes, and an open house the first Sunday of every month from 1 to 4pm. Tell us your date and we will check it before you drive out.
